Downtown art-stops celebrate
OSU Moms Weekend
With an
Art Walk & Raffle

Friday April 30th, 2010 from 1pm to 6pm

Stop in at each participating art-stop and see artists-in-action, a variety of exhibits on display throughout Corvallis’ Downtown, and fill out your raffle tickets at each site to put your... name in to be selected for raffle prizes at every stop! How can you loose! Grab a mom, grab a friend, and come spend an hour on a fantastic Friday in our surprising community. See a site, grab a bite and support your local arts and businesses!

Walk around the downtown on Friday afternoon and see what is going on in our interesting little town! Stop in at The Corvallis Art Center and see work by Jenny Fowler and Terry Weiss in the Corrine Woodman Gallery and enter the raffle there to win a ceramic piece by Nancy Frazier, and check out the new gift shop space. Wander over to the Arc’s Insight Gallery across from the Fire Station or walk over to the new Dana Marie Art Gallery and enter the raffles for original Dana Marie wearable art pieces and check out the demonstrations by Pam Van London (painting 11-1) Karen Olwen (jewelry 1-3) and Mandie Shattuck (painting 4-7) and several more demos on Saturday for those who can’t get enough. Take a glance at the art in the Footwise Window on your way over to the Art in the Valley Gallery, where you can enter the raffle for one of Beatrice Rubenfeld’s original paintings and see the current exhibit “These are a few of my Favorite Things” featuring Jenny Armitage. Jenny will be doing demos on Friday and Jean Lawrence will be demonstrating on Saturday. Grab a cup of coffee at Good Morning Bakery or Grass Roots or come grab a beer and a sandwich at the Old World Deli and make your way over to Pegasus Gallery & Frame Studio where you can see artists in action as local master painters Herb Berman and Bill Shumway paint in the gallery to entertain you as you enter the raffle for three original paintings by Bill Shumway.
