Our little world of Doll and Miniature Artists has lost one of our own, mystgarden aka Kim Collins Fillio. Our friend, my friend, lost her battle with cancer. She was only 48.
A very close local friend of Kim's has established a Memorial Fund. The Fund page states (below).
If everyone could find it in their hearts to just donate US $6 we can hit this goal easily.
"Kim Fillio was an artist known all around the world for her amazing lifelike little fairies, no two were the same... She lost her year long battle to cancer May 25 2012, leaving behind 5 children and her husband. During Kim's fight she was unable to sculpt and contribute to the financial needs of the family... everyone pulled together going the extra mile...even though, her husband's profession as a steel worker, can at times be sporadic.
Running between medical appointments for the treatments, trying to keep the girls in their active lifestyles, he had been laid off several times and we all know how hard todays economy can be without any challenges.
The family is in need of financial assitance to maintain their home and get back on their feet. unfortunatey, there was no insurance to assist the family after her passing."
