This is the photograph I have posted for this weeks' inspiration picture of the week over at "Inspiration All Around Us"
This was not my first pick, though, I do love this photograph. I took it last year of this humming bird attracking beauty hanging on my porch at our old house in Lincoln City, Oregon. This weeks photo was to be one or both of my lighted lawn deers in the snow, however, the photographs did not turn out as I'd hoped. I will try again and I may end up posting two pictures for this week. However, if that does not happen, hope you enjoy this one.

"Strength by Love" ~ A Gift to a Mother
"Strength by Love"I had mentioned in a previous blog post about a woman, Meaghan , who has created "Giving Gifts Warms the Heart". This program which is setup so that those who are drawn to do so can give something they created in which they then can send it to someone who is battling cancer and need their spirits lifted.
I decided to send this piece out to a mother who has a 5 year old son who is battling cancer. As a mother of a wonderful son, my heart went out to this lady and I will be sending this piece to her in the next couple days. I wish I could do more, but I truly hope this at least brings a smile across her face.

Hope Everyone is having a beautiful day! It's white outside here today! In fact, it started last night as my husband, son and I went Christmas shopping...what an experience it made for the drive home. We nearly hit a car that slide through a red light, causing us to brake and slide through the intersection. We are all safe, but it was it as shock to our 10 year old son, as he's not used to this weather as he's lived most of his life on the Oregon Coast.
So, stay safe and warm!

I simply love acorns....they bring thoughts of the Holiday Season. Just last month, my son found one while on a walk with his Nana when she was visiting last and he brought it home for me as a gift. It was so tiny and perfect! Another reason for me to love acorns.
