I really love this piece!  I was painting an underpainting that took on a life of it's own.  That underpainting is, "Enjoy the Little Things" and spawned the series: Dreaming with Eyes Open.  I had to step back from the series as my paintings were getting a bit "tight" and I wanted to loosen up.  I hope to get back to it soon.

I was working on the smaller piece below.  It didn't begin like this.  I wasn't thrilled the way it was going so I took pics of it and played around with it in my photo program and came up with quite a few versions, but ended up with this (below).  Then I created a larger (than the original) piece which is above.  They are both really close to being done, however, I put them aside to work on a few other works.
