When it's been awhile since I painted last and/or if I'm feeling stuck I will paint a piece I've already painted. In this case it's a bit of both and I also wanted this piece on a larger canvas (the other piece was a 12" X 12").

I really love this piece!  I was painting an underpainting that took on a life of it's own.  That underpainting is, "Enjoy the Little Things" and spawned the series: Dreaming with Eyes Open.  I had to step back from the series as my paintings were getting a bit "tight" and I wanted to loosen up.  I hope to get back to it soon.

Work in Progress - 16" X 16" to add to Birds on a Wire Series by Dana Marie

I'm working my way up to larger canvas sizes since I took a long hiatus from painting everyday.

So, even though this is only a 16" X 16" this is the largest piece of the series, Birds on a Wire.

For those of you that have missed it here is the series thus far:

I wanted some variety, yet still look beautiful together.
