Conformity, Are You a Conformist?

There are others I want to include with this but I need to find them first.  I will do that later today. 

Ever since I was old enough to talk I was never much of a conformist.  If you weren't either you know it's not any easy road, however, it is been the only road for me! 

Here is another form of Conformity

 

Have you ever noticed someone on the side of the road needing help or you being that person and how many people will drive by?  And once someone does decide to stop then car after car often stops by even after there is obvsiously somewhere there to help?

I have so much to do and no oomph to do it!  :)

I have oh so many emails to respond to, some weeks old (sorry everyone, I really got behind!).

I have several paintings to finish.

I really need to work on my website - Right now I have both the old gallery websites merged and cut...what a mess!  I have HOURS upon HOURS of work on that alone.

Oh and I think it's about time I change my "art banner" as it doesn't really represent my current style.  The paintings in the blog banner have to be at least 6 years old, I've taken a few turns (for better or for worse ;) ) since then.

Not to mention I want to paint my living room walls and finish the ceiling color.

What else?  Oh I haven't even gotten started....this is the SHORT list!  LOL

Perhaps I should make a  triple shot of espresso!  :)

I went to EBSQ to my porfolio to find that I'm one of the three Artists being featured right now.  :)

Hopefully, if the photographs turned out, I will be back soon to upload 4 new Original Wearable Art pieces.

"Inner Knowing"

The above piece may look familiar to some of you as I used "Seek Love" (below) a sold piece as inspiration.

I have two more to go....both bird pieces, however, it looks like the photographs of one of them didn't come out well enough.  I'll try again on that one.

I don't watch much tv, but as I do this I'm half watching and listenting to The Voice..... I hadn't even heard of it before, but I'm loving the performances. :)

 

Okay, I guess I'm done for the night....the other is not ready either.  I'm seeing things in the photograph that I'm not liking that I'm not seeing in the painting it's....I'll have take a look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow.  :)

This last piece is actually a piece I was going to send to a customer that had her purse stolen and her wearable art piece was inside so I'm trying to repaint it for her.

"The Way of the Universe" & "Tao Garden" ~ Original Dana Marie Wearable Art

"The Way of the Universe"

"Tao Garden"

The top piece, "The Way of the Universe" is a reworked piece which was a crow piece that I had done awhile back, but it wanted a change so I gave it one.  ;)

"Tao Garden" is one that I started awhile ago, but I hadn't finished it until today.  The colors were difficult to capture in this one.  Believe me I tried and tried! :)  The dragonflies are a light periwinkle color.  And even though these are softer colors the piece in person is a bit more vibrant than I was able to get the image to show.

I have backgrounds started on six new pieces...they are all inspired by larger works of mine.  I think you may recognize some of them! 

I also started four others that will have crackle backgrounds so they are in the early stages still, but they too will be inspired by larger paintings I've created and sold already.

I'll be back with those soon!  :)

I wanted to share with you two pictures I took at Foster Lake in Sweet Home, Oregon that I took a couple weeks ago.

I wish I would had taken pictures when we first drive into this park (I can't recall the name of the park) because as you enter you drive over a bridge, with the lake on both sides, and off to one end there was probably 4 or 5 canoers out in the water with mist dancing over the water.  It was stunning!
